Two Dynamic Degrees of Separation

At Red Sky we often remark upon how it is more like 2° of separation in Idaho instead of the oft-repeated 6°.  When the cause is noble and the need is necessary, connections and commitments are made to inspire action. What has occurred in a brief amount of time to officially launch Activate Treasure Valley is evidence of just that.

The community campaign addresses poor eating habits and inactivity by linking the public with resources, activities, and people to help them discover a fun and fresh approach to healthy living. Led by presenting sponsors Treasure Valley YMCA, Albertsons and PacificSource Health Plans, the campaign is being brought to life by dozens of community partners across Ada and Canyon Counties. Those partners, from mayors to hospital leadership, wellness non-profits to state agencies, insurance companies to an Olympic Gold Medalist, have come together in a short amount of time to launch the largest community health and wellness initiative in thie history of the state this week.

It affects all of us. It will require all of us to make it a success.

Join us tomorrow, September 7, 2011, for the Activate Treasure Valley Community Kickoff!
